-The Midnight Tapestry-
I was once told to wish
I was once told to dream
In a slumber so sweet
Spent upon this midnight tapestry
With 10,000 stars woven in
By the hands of our mothers
Each a childhood memory
That I've held within
Our dreams were taken away
By their father's hands
So brittle and cold
And they broke me
All the smiles I had woven
Were frayed and torn apart
And my midnight tapestry
Had turned a saddened gray
My tapestry, once beautiful
Was now nothing but a mere rag
Soaked with tears and sorrows
And I felt the pain, till I was no more
